Our Academic Program
The Academic Program at the Preparatory School of the District of Columbia, Inc. is infused with numerous enrichment activities of the Core Knowledge Curriculum. The Core Knowledge sequence is excellent and it contains qualities that demonstrates and increases the following age- appropriate or grade level skills:

Shared Knowledge: Scholars need to share a body of knowledge for reasons that have to do with literacy, high mobility, and social comprehension.

Solid Knowledge: Knowledge that continues through multiple generations.

Sequenced Knowledge: Knowledge of people, events, ideas, and historical movements that contribute to significant development.
With pupil-to-teacher ratio not greater than 15 to 1, the academic program of PSDC emphasizes basic skill development and competency in the core subject areas including Reading, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Scholars are encouraged to excel in Physical Education, Music, Arts, Computer Literacy, and Foreign Languages.
